Why 98% Fail or No Success Without Failure

I know, I know! That’s focusing on the negative, like saying the “Glass is Half-Empty!”

Well, it is. It has to be in order for the Glass to be Half-Full, doesn’t it?

Let’s be honest. When you look at that Glass, it’s BOTH Half-Empty AND Half-Full AT THE SAME TIME.

All the conventional advice is for us to focus on Success, on the part of the Glass with the liquid. And when we do that we are choosing to ignore the empty half.

But it is still there  – the empty half I mean.

There can be no Full without Empty, just as there is no Success without Failure.

Besides, that’s where we learn.

You remember the story of Edison and his 10,000 ‘failures’. Only he didn’t call them that. He claimed he learned 10,000 ways the light bulb wouldn’t work!

So yes, looking at failure works. It teaches. In our case it teaches what NOT to do with our Network Marketing businesses.

If you’re up to it and want to learn what NOT to do, you may want to check out my new book available only at Amazon via the Kindle store. If you don’t have a Kindle reader, don’t worry. You can get the free reader app download for any of your devices here.

And you can get your copy of the book via http://Why98PercentFail.com.

Thanks.

To Your Success!

PS: Oh, the book’s subtitle is Why Recruiting & Keeping Your Downline Populated Keep Getting Harder. Aren’t you curious?

PPS: And if you have a moment after reading it would you consider leaving a comment.

MLM: Just Another Part of the Ride

About 7 years ago when I first heard Personal Development and the idea that our thoughts create reality connected with Network Marketing, I was incredulous. I found it hard to believe that what I thought and believed had anything to do with my business success.

Let’s face it, how many car salespeople or brokers concern themselves with such things? I was starting a networking business and needed to do the things necessary to build it. What was all this New Age stuff to do with that?

Well, maybe those salespeople and brokers should pay attention, because now I know that seven years ago my education in my innate powers was just beginning.

The very last part of the video presentation below ends with these words:

“The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round and it has thrills and chills and it’s very brightly colored and it’s very loud. And it’s fun for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, “Is this real or is this just a ride?’ and other people have remembered and they come back to us and they say, ‘Hey, Don’t worry, don’t be afraid ever because . . . this is just a ride.'”

MLM or network marketing is just an attraction, another ride at the amusement park.

Don’t be afraid to let out a good scream!

Money – What’s It Worth To You?-Part 2

In the 1948 classic film, THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, about gold and greed and what it does to men, directed by John Huston and starring Humphrey Bogart and the director’s father Walter Huston, this question is asked: Why is gold worth whatever it is an ounce?

Howard, played by Walter Huston, explains: “A thousand men, say, go searching for gold. After six months, one of ’em is lucky – one out of the thousand. His find represents not only his own labor but that of nine hundred and ninety-nine others to boot. That’s uh, six thousand months or five hundred years scrabbling over mountains, going hungry and thirsty. An ounce of gold, mister, is worth what it is because of the human labor that went into the finding and the getting of it. . . . Gold itself ain’t good for nothin’ except makin’ jewelry with and gold teeth.”

Gold is “good for nothin’ ” but Gold in those days WAS money. All paper currency used to be backed by a precious metal, usually gold or silver, and was printed only under the conditions that the metal be on hand physically in a vault somewhere in the country. The currency had printed on it GOLD or SILVER CERTIFICATE and was able to be exchanged for the equivalent amount of metal at any bank. This lasted until President Roosevelt closed the “gold window”. Much later President Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard. It’s open to debate which was the bigger crime.

But I don’t mean to dwell on the economics or the politics of the situation. I wish to remain on the symbology and metaphysics of money, using this bit of film dialogue to illustrate this point:

Gold has been money for thousands of years and its value has always been determined by its scarcity which translates into the amount of human energy (labor) expended into its discovery, recovery and the physical work done to or on it.

Money is a symbol for human work-energy-life. It doesn’t take much of a stretch to understand that one’s attitude towards life in general is pretty equivalent to one’s attitude towards money. And vice versa.

More next time.

  • Where Are Your Dreams?

I woke up a few mornings ago with that phrase running, singing through my mind. Groggily I grabbed a voice recorder and captured this:

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?

Are you feeding them? If not, they’ll avoid you. They’ll go some place where they are fed.

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?

Are you taking care of them? Are you serving your dreams? If not, they’ll go to someone who will treat them better.

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?

Dreams are living things. They need sustenance. They need care. They need attention and love. If you don’t give them sustenance, care, attention and love, they’ll find someone who will.

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?

Your dreams are sensitive things. They know when they’re being slighted. They know when you’re paying them lip service.

They’ll never come. They’ll never come true if you don’t give them what they need.

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?  Where are your dreams?

Are your dreams in prison? Have you locked them up? Have you put them away saying, “One day, one day they’ll come true”? Your dreams will fly away if they don’t FEEL they’ll come true.

    Don’t lock up you dreams.

Don’t ignore your dreams expecting that they’ll always be there.

Don’t take your dreams for granted.

FEED them. SUSTAIN them. EXERCISE them. Give your dreams what they need & they’ll grow & come true.

Then you’ll know where your dream is ’cause it will always come back to you, it’ll never go far. It’ll stay where it’s being taken care of.

Where is your dream? Where is your dream? Where is your dream?

Your dream is like an egg. If there’s a crack in it when placed in hot water, it’ll explode & your egg, your dream, will leak out. The container will be breached and it will not be true.

Where are you holding your dream? In a waterproof, crackproof container that can withstand the boiling hot waters of negativity and naysayers and doubters?

Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams? Where are your dreams?

Have you accessed them yet? Are they where you can play with them, live with them, work with them?

Are they accessible to you? Or do you put them away in a safeplace for safekeeping for a safer time?

    Where are your dreams?

There’s only one thing your dreams need to stay alive . . .

FEED  them ACTIONS. Your Actions. Your Dedicated Passionate Actions.

    Action & Attention. That’s all your dreams need. And they’ll come . . .

    Attraction = Intention + Attention

I get asked frequently why I use the word INTENTION and ATTENTION when most people who speak of this subject usually just use the word ATTRACTION.

There is a very good reason.

The Law of Attraction (LOA) is an inviolable law of the universe: Whatever thought or image a person keeps and nourishes with emotion will manifest.

Now most who hear this believe that if they really, really, really want something it will >POP< appear by magic. Sorry. To be kind, this is naive. A bit more is required.

We live in a world of duality. Up & Down. Right & Left. On & Off. Polar opposites.

There is NEVER one without the other. We can’t ever have a Right without a Left because in truth, polarities are points on a Continuum.

One of the more dynamic of these polarities is Inside & Outside. Where does your Inside stop? At the tip of your nose? And your Outside? Somewhere in Infinity? If so, where?

You desire something and you set your Heart on it. You dwell on it. Dream about it. Imagine how you’ll FEEL when it manifests.  Good.  Your Intent is in place. Your internal settings are good to go. But is that all? Is something else needed?

What are you ATTENDING to? What is your ATTENTION on? To what is your Mind bending? Where and on what will your actions be directed and focused?

You see the “opposite pole” of Intention is Attention. Just having the right stuff going on internally is only a start. You have to take action and you must consider a direction or target for your action. To what and where in the world Outside of You are you bending your Mind and directing your Intentional force? Wherever that is, is where your Attention lies. Or should lie if you want fulfillment of  your desire.

If your Heart’s Intention and your Mind’s Attention are unbroken, in unison and focused on the same external outcome, you will ATTRACT your Desire.  The energy continuum will be complete and manifestation imminent.

If not, there’s work to be done getting these poles in synch.

The Ultimate “Secret” Technique for Networking Success

The ultimate technique is really not secret at all. You just haven’t realized it yet.

I mean that literally. You just haven’t made it real – that’s what realize means. As specialize means to make something special, realize means to make something real, something manifest.

Here’s the secret: To own your success, to own your life, learn how to own your mind and its thoughts and images.

Sound simple? You say you’ve heard this before and it makes some sense to you? Then ask yourself this: Are you still watching the soaps and the news, still reading gossip sites and magazines, still surfing the web, playing video games or catching your team’s latest game, all as time-killers?

When you do these things and others like them, you are renting space in your mind to others, giving away your power – and they will never, Never, NEVER care about your success as much as you do. Why would they?

If that’s fully registered, the next question is: “How do I get a handle on the thoughts and images that pop in and out of my mind seemingly uncontrolled by me?”

Here’s the answer: You need to cleanse your apparatus; wipe the mental slate clean as much as this is possible.

And the first step is to turn off the TV & radio, throw out the newspapers and magazines. Start controlling what you are letting enter your mind.

This is obviously easier said than done so ask yourself, “How badly do I want this success?”  I don’t mean sitting there, fists and teeth clenched, neck veins bulging, shaking, sweating, and red-faced saying out loud, “I really, really, really, REALLY want success.”

The programming done is deep and has been ongoing for a very long time. It’s called culture, and it’s happened to us all. The media used are insidious and have been developed into more tricks than we’ll ever learn. We’ve all been targeted.

This mental cleansing is not possible alone. You will need a plan and the support of like-minded people who have suffered as you have and who, like you, are consumed by their success.

Believe it or not, they are equally consumed by serving as your mentors.

    Welcome.  http://30daymentalcleanse.com
